DC Banking provides every player a personal bank account that persists through deaths, server restarts, and character wipes. ATM machines at every Trader City let you deposit and withdraw Rubles at any time. Money in your bank is never lost on death — only cash you're carrying is at risk.
Approach any ATM machine and press F to open your banking interface
Your balance is linked to your Steam account — survives deaths and respawns
ATM machines are located at every Trader City on the map. They are visible as small kiosk-style objects, usually grouped near the trading NPCs. You'll also find ATMs inside some buildings at larger trader compounds.
Walk up to an ATM and press F to open the banking interface. You'll see your current bank balance and the amount of cash in your inventory.
To deposit, select Deposit in the ATM menu and enter the amount you want to move from your inventory into your bank account. The Rubles are removed from your pockets and added to your account balance instantly.
Select Withdraw and enter the amount to move from your account into your inventory. You need free inventory space to receive the Ruble notes.
The banking system supports player-to-player transfers. Both players must be at an ATM. Select Transfer, enter the recipient's name or Steam ID, and specify the amount. Useful for paying squadmates or splitting loot sales.
What happens to my bank balance when I die?
Nothing — your bank balance is completely safe. Only Rubles you were physically carrying are dropped with your body (in the GraveCross). Your account balance is untouched.
Can I check my balance without going to an ATM?
No — you must be at an ATM to view your balance or make transactions.
Is there a maximum balance?
No cap. You can store as much currency as you earn.
What if someone steals my Rubles from my corpse?
Cash on your body is fair game — that's DayZ. This is why depositing regularly is important. If you were carrying a large amount, try to recover your GraveCross quickly before another player loots it.
